Born in the desert but raised in the water, I hold a British passport and speak languages taught to me by my English father and Chinese-Kadazan Malaysian by birth, mother. I’ve lived in Scotland, the USA, Indonesia and Malaysia and have visited many other places including Brazil, Cambodia, South Africa and Taiwan. I write and perform poetry and teach poetry slam to primary and secondary kids. I run a queer community blog and related events for women in Malaysia. I have worked in the fashion, television, media, advertising, arts, oil and gas, human resources industries over the last 10 years usually in a communications, events or PR capacity. I currently am in KL freelancing for various non profits.
